Supporting Technology Innovation
to Advance Minnesota Nonprofits’ Missions

Our Grant Process

We provide grants to Minnesota-based nonprofits and Tribal governments with the goal of innovating programs and operations. Tell us how your organization can leverage technology to get to the next level.

What We’ve Funded

We continue to be excited by the ideas nonprofits have for how they can leverage technology as a tool to further their missions. Explore a selection of projects we have supported.

Step 1: LOI

The Shavlik Family Foundation has two grant cycles per year. Organizations are encouraged to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) once they have completed the discovery and planning phases of their project, and they are ready to implement their chosen solution.

LOI OPENS May 1 and November 1

LOI DUE BY JUNE 1 AND DECEMBER 1

All proposals must be submitted through our online grant portal, Submittable. Your LOI will then be reviewed and we will inform you of our decision. If selected, the next step will be to submit a Full Application in Submittable. For more information, visit our Grant Timeline & Resources page.
