Supporting Technology Innovation
to Advance Minnesota Nonprofits’ Missions
Our Grant Process
The Foundation was created to provide grants to Minnesota based non-profits with the goal of innovating programs and operations. Tell us how your organization can leverage technology to take your organization to the next level.
What We’ve Funded
We continue to be excited by the ideas nonprofits have for how they can leverage technology as a tool to further their missions. Explore a selection of projects we have supported, which represent our commitment to funding forward-looking technological initiatives that drive innovation.
Step 1: LOI
The Shavlik Family Foundation runs a two-step grantmaking process, twice per year. Organizations are encouraged to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) once they have completed the discovery and planning phases of their project, and they are ready to implement their chosen solution with funding support.
May 1st and November 1st
Online Grant System Opens: LOI
We utilize an online grant portal for our two-step grant application system. All proposals must be submitted through this portal. You will have one month from the time our LOI portal opens to submit your proposal. For more information, visit our Grant Timeline & Resources page.
